We technically do two trick-or-treat runs every year: Stanton and Red Oak. Stanton is always on the Saturday before Halloween at 3pm, which means the odds for tolerable weather are much more favorable. Red Oak is on Halloween night when the sun goes down, which usually means runny noses and cold fingers!
This year Iyla was a lady bug for Stanton. It was a perfect sunny, 70 degree day. Her costume was a last second (and discounted) pick up because I really could not find anything! But she ended up looking so cute and really, really enjoyed her candy. Her favorite treats were M&M's and kettle corn.
Sunday night she went as a bumblee, a costume I had bought at the used store for $1.75. It was 6-9 months and I thought for sure it wouldn't fit her, but we made it work...and it was only a little short:) We went on our little dead end with her wagon. She went into all the neighbor's houses so that she could show off her cuteness. Then we headed down a street with scary, old mansions. The decorations were great but the candy was weak. By the end of the night she was frozen, sticky, and hopped up on candy!

This is her friend, Cassie, who joined us on the Stanton trail. She was Queen Elizabeth.
P.S. All these shots were straight out of the camera. The lighting in Stanton was to die for on Saturday!!
