He went on a plane!

I still can't believe it. I was able to convince Adam (or maybe he convinced himself) to get on a plane for the first time in, oh, 18 years? He, like me, was terrified of the fact that he had no control over the matter and if the plane went down, he would be without a parachute. But we did it and everyone did fine, including Iyla!

We flew out to Tucson, AZ to visit Adam's granny because she isn't doing so well. Adam's uncle and aunt graciously met us at the airport, along with his dad, and put us up in a hotel the whole time we were there. Granny LOVED Iyla and I'm so glad we were able to bring those two together.

In our spare time, we decided to make the drive to the top of the mountains. It was a long, scary drive but it was so worth it. At the top was a small town called Mt. Lemmon. The 80 degree weather was sweet relief from the 100+ degree heat below.

For being a last second trip that we literally planned 20 hours ahead of time, it turned out great. And Adam even told me on the last flight home that flying was sort of "exciting!" Imagine that.
