Extended Family Session

I took pictures for Julie and her family last summer. She contacted me to take pictures for her extended family up in Omaha. She picked the location, which was PERFECT. Seriously, the lighting was insane. Too bad it was just a little chilly. And too bad these guys were Husker fans...

Christy & Crew: Mini Session

I'm not sure whose idea it was to go to the zoo on a beautiful summer day with 5 kids and take pictures....probably mine :/ I thought it would be a great idea to mix business and pleasure. And actually, it didn't turn out bad at all! Stella even chilled in her stroller the whole time, which she has never done for any extended period of time.

The placed was packed, and that is an understatement. We had to go to the very back of the zoo by the rhinos to get away from the crowds. I was worried about the 1pm overhead lighting, but I was presently surprised with the shaded areas we found.

Chelsea + Nate: Atlantic, IA Wedding

 I knew this wedding day was destined to be a great time when I found out it would take place on Stella's 6 month birthday (I'm all about dates and numbers). The week leading up to Saturday was HOT, but Friday evening brought some rain and a cold front, making Saturday's weather perfect.

The necklace Chelsea wore was a gift from Nate given to her the night before. 

I was so excited that Chelsea and Nate decided to see each other before the ceremony. Chelsea was so nervous because up until this point, things were running a little behind. But once she saw Nate, all her nerves were gone. 

 The red, yellow, and black were decided on by none other than.....football! Iowa State vs. Iowa :)

The reception was held at the Parish Hall of the church. The whole family did a great job decorating.
